SKY Rides - London and Birmingham

We created a 3D cycling igloo 360º experience as part of the UK-wide programme of Sky Rides events to promote British Cycling.
Two igloos were used by Sky as entertainment spaces at the Sky Ride cycling events – one in London and one in Birmingham.
Our 21-metre igloo was used in London on Horse Guards’ Parade at the capital’s Sky Rides event, which saw over 80,000 people take to the streets on bicycles and ride past major landmarks in the city.
A week later, our 12.5-metre was erected in Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, for the next leg of the Sky Ride initiative.
The content for the igloo, produced in-house by Sky, used panoramic and high-definition film to give the audience an immersive 360° experience. The four-minute piece, featuring Team Sky and members of the British cycling team in training and during Sky Ride events, ended with a full-colour 3D sequence for which the audience was asked to don 3D glasses.
