We delivered a totally unique, 360° projection solution for Bethesda Softworks at the gamescom exhibition in Cologne.
The exhibition stand was intended to support the launch of an upcoming title (called Brink), and the design came straight out of the game. We provided two massive 6-metre curved screens, which ran at eye level along either side of the stand. This enabled us to extended the game into a totally immersive, animated backdrop.
The stand also featured two gaming pods that were used to promote other titles, including a new game called Wet. For this we created a 360° projection system that surrounded the audience as they got to sample the game.
The projection rig involved six ultra short throw projectors mounted within a column in the centre of the pod which shone outwards onto the cylindrical walls. The projected image was fully edge blended using our proprietary system.
