If you caught our last blog post, you’ll have seen we were gearing up for ISE London 2021: a much (much, much) smaller affair than the edition we attended last year in Amsterdam. But, we were overjoyed to get back on the events circuit, seeing old faces and meeting new ones.
We weren’t the only ones to enjoy getting back to in-person events. As ISE managing director Mike Blackman commented, “this really was needed. In absence of being able to meet and being able to see our customers, we needed something like this to be able to get back together.”
And we couldn’t agree more - we’ve always said that seeing Igloo in action is the best way to understand its power. So, though the event was branded as more networking than a full-on trade show or exhibition, we couldn’t resist bringing the Igloo flair to our stand, as you can see from the video.
We set up a live Teams call from within the space that was displayed on the TV mounted to the side - so that anyone could get an idea of what Igloo immersive technology can do, outside or inside the immersive workspace. We showed off:
The overall mood at the event was optimistic for the future of the industry. It’s obvious that the pandemic had a huge impact on the industry that will be felt for a long time yet, but it also accelerated other trends. As we’ve discussed before, collaborative technology has only been spurred on by the events of the past 18 months, something that was also pointed out in this Installation article.
If you didn’t get to go to ISE, you can of course arrange an in-person demo, or a virtual one, depending on your needs. Just get in touch.
And, in the meantime, keep an eye out for news of future events we’ll be attending.
