At Igloo, we aim to make it as simple as possible for clients to use the tools they already use in Shared VR.
To make this possible, the Igloo Media Server is content-agnostic and works, out-of-the-box, with almost all of the industry-standard 3D design, visualisation, and planning tools. And the latest addition to our ever-growing list of software integrations is The Wild, a collaborative platform where teams can engage in new and better ways.
The real power of The Wild is how anyone can connect in real-time, at human-scale, from VR, AR, PC or Mac, and now, with groups immersed in an Igloo.
The Wild is a space to rapidly sketch, prototype and iterate on ideas. You can import your SketchUp or Revit models. And, with the Igloo integration, entire groups can get right inside those models, and work at the same time as colleagues across the world, thanks to The Wild’s multi-platform access.
To get a better sense of how it works, take a look at the video. And, if you want to try it out for yourself, we’re super pleased to say that we’ll be showing off the integration at Digital Construction Week in London on 16-17 October 2019.
An added incentive to use tools like The Wild is the expectation for Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) players to make better use of (Building Information Modeling) BIM. For example, BIM Level 2 is a requirement for all UK government-funded construction projects, so it’s more important than ever for those in the sector to increase uptake and enhance collaboration - which is why the integration from The Wild and Shared VR has so much potential.
Do come along to Digital Construction Week to find out more. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet us and chat about what Shared VR can do for you. It’s likely to be a busy event, so we’d urge you to contact us now to schedule a personalised demo.
