You might not think there’d be much that an Igloo could have in common with Christmas dinners, but thanks to our friends at Emu Analytics, we found a way.
Back in 2018, they created a nifty map of how growing areas for the traditional Christmas Dinner ingredients in England have changed from 1945 to 2018.
We pulled this up in Igloo Web. And then, using our own Igloo Touch app, we could quickly and easily navigate the map. In the process, we learned that our home county of Shropshire contributed 86,310 turkeys to the nation’s Christmas dinner tables in 2018.
It’s a powerful way to immerse whole groups inside your data, and make information more beautiful - and beautifully useful.
Check out the video for an idea of how this looked in Igloo Shared VR.
And, as we wind down for the holidays, we wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and New Year, wherever you are and however you’re spending them.
