Igloo Vision and Panasonic Showcase TAA-Compliant Immersive Space at I/ITSEC 2025

Igloo Vision, the shared immersive space company, is excited to be partnering with Panasonic Projector & Disaply Americas at I/ITSEC 2025. On booth #535, the two companies will demonstrate a TAA-compliant 5×5-meter immersive space powered by Igloo’s Igloo Core Engine software, Panasonic projection technology and controlled by Panasonic Connect TOUGHBOOK® laptops and tablets.

Designed specifically for the defense and government sectors, the immersive space allows entire teams to step inside mission environments, visualize complex data, and rehearse critical operations in a shared, 360° setting, all while meeting TAA compliance and TS/SCI security clearance essential for U.S. defense applications.

The Igloo immersive space transforms traditional defense training and planning. Instead of relying on individual headsets or flat-screen displays, entire teams can collaborate, communicate, and make decisions together inside a life-sized, data-rich environment. This approach helps to enhance mission readiness, improve situational awareness, and reduce training costs.

The walls are powered by MEVIX high-performance projectors from Panasonic, the I/ITSEC installation includes floor projection for added realism and full spatial immersion. The system is driven by Igloo’s Core Engine software platform, which is compatible with a wide range of defense-grade simulation and visualization tools, such as the MAK One synthetic environment platform by MAK Technologies, which visitors will be able to experience in the immersive space at the show.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Panasonic to demonstrate what’s possible when cutting-edge visualization meets true operational utility,” said Colin Yellowley, Founder at Igloo Vision. “At I/ITSEC, we’re showing how shared immersive technology can make mission training more realistic, more collaborative, and more efficient, while meeting the strictest security and compliance standards demanded by the defense community.”

TAA compliance is a key requirement for many U.S. defense and federal agencies, ensuring that all hardware and components meet strict standards for origin, security, and quality. Igloo’s TAA-compliant immersive environments are used internationally for mission rehearsal, tactical training, operational planning, and multi-agency collaboration.

The showcased 5×5m space represents just one configuration from Igloo’s defense range, which includes portable, semi-permanent, and bespoke solutions, all built to meet the security levels required by U.S. and allied defense clients.

“Life-like simulated training environments are critical to help defense professionals practice collaboration and decision-making,” said Taka Uchida, CEO of Panasonic Projector & Display Americas. “We’re proud to come together with our partners and showcase the latest developments in immersive, TAA-compliant tech that are bringing these environments to life.”

Visitors to I/ITSEC booth #535 can experience the immersive space firsthand and explore how Igloo and Panasonic technologies are helping defense teams to visualize the battlespace, improve communication, and accelerate mission success.
